Tokyo* 330ml, 18.2% - Scotland

Poured very dark with a small mocha head, which settled instantly.

Fruity aroma, malty and sweet.

Lovely fruity taste, must be those berries they used. Some chocolate and small tones of caramel. Strong boozy aftertaste. This beer reminds me a lot of American Barley Wine.

Tactical Nuclear Penguin 330ml, 32% - Scotland

It was finally time to try one of the world's strongest beers. This bottles has been laying around for well over a month now.. So,

Poured dark red, no head. Very still.

Very boozy nose, but I do get some dried fruits and some caramel.

Starts off with this salty and strong alcohol taste. Then turns over to a very smoked tone with a bit of caramel. Lot's of tar.

Interesting experiment from BrewDog. Let's see what they will come up with next.

This bottle is going to be available in Systembolaget on Monday, 15th of February.

P.S. Looks like the guys over at BrewDog were in a hurry with putting the labels on..! ;)

Paradox Isle Of Arran (Batch 016) 330ml, 10% - Scotland

Pitch black poured into a sniffer. Chocolate two finger head.

Dark, roasty smell, salty and sweet at the same time. Some chocolate with notes of whiskey. Vanilla and alcohol.

The taste is very complex. It's like sipping on a glass full of smoke. Dried fruits, mostly plums, salty notes here, very smokey after taste, followed by whiskey tones.

Dry mouth feel, quite bitter. Makes me thirsty after each sip.

This sure was a fun experience. It's not something that I'd buy again, although I would recommend this to whiskey enthusiasts.
