Westmalle Trappist Tripel 330ml, 9.5% - Belgium

Orange appearance with a white velvet head.

Bready, yeasty and malty aroma. Very pleasant.

Starts off with bananas and lot's of them. Very pronounced on cloves and alcohol. It has this malty, bready biscuit flavor going on. Sweet and at the same time bitter hoppy aftertaste.

Highly enjoyable. The carbonation is well balanced, smooth finish.

Westmalle Trappist Dubbel 330ml, 7% - Belgium

Poured dark brown into an original Westmalle chalice. Two finger bronze, fluffy head which floats in the glass and settles very, very slowly. Some lacing is left behind.

Fresh smell of yeast up front, citrus, apples, caramel and spices.

Fruity taste. Starts off with a sour touch, cherries, apples, some toffee, malty and yeasty at the same time. A bit sour aftertaste. I expected this to be more bitter.
