Maredsous 8 - Dubbel 750ml, 8% - Belgium

Poured dark red, brown with a beautiful two finger light brown head. The foam settles slowly, building small rocks. Sticky lacing is noticeable around the glass.

Fruity and malty aroma. Small tones of alcohol.

Sweet, malty taste delivered together with dark and dried fruits. I get raisins, prunes and some citrus here.

Alcohol is slightly visible in the bitter aftertaste. A somewhat dry mouth feel, well balanced carbonation though.

Maredsous 6 - Blonde 330ml, 6% - Belgium

Cloudy orange topped with a white head which settled quickly, leaving some lacing behind.

Sweet and fruity aroma. Yeasty and malty. Hints of bananas.

Pretty much same characteristics as the smell. More malts and fruitiness up front. Some yeast in the background. Bananas are noticeable from time to time.

Duvel 750ml, 8.5% - Belgium

Poured bright light with a huge white, air full head. When the head settles it groups small hills of foam together with some sticky lacing around the glass.

Strong fruity aroma with pleasant tones of alcohol.

Very easy drinking. Refreshingly good taste of fruits, some citrus over runs by mild spices.

Fruity after taste with almost no bitterness.

Duvel is always a Duvel :)
