Pours coppery gold with a thin head.

Hoppy flavor with a little bitterness. Piny, floral, caramel and malts.

Quite drinkable, although I'm not too pleased with the carbonation.

Unearthly Imperial India Pale Ale 650ml, 11% - USA

Another beer from Southern Tier brewery:

Light amber color, almost no head.

Fruity smell with sweet caramel.

I taste fried fruits, some caramel, pines, malts, bitter hops and a light alcohol after taste. After all the abv is pretty high in this beer.

I can't say that this is a winner. Maybe the abv sets it off for me?

Hoppe (Imperial Extra Pale Ale) 650ml, 8% - USA

Poured light orange with one finger head.

Fresh piney smell with grapefruit.

The taste resembles pretty much the same characteristics as the smell. Pines, grapefruit, huge variety of hops. Sweet and bitter after taste.

Feels good in the mouth, well balanced carbonation, although the bitterness is rather distracting.
