Grottenbier 750ml, 6.5% - Belgium

Generous pour, dark red color with a huge fluffy head.

Fresh citrus aroma, topped with fresh cherries.

The taste consists of cherries and a lot of dried fruits, mostly raisins. Spicey and bitter aftertaste with signs of alcohol.

The seller said that the brewery had problems with the labels.

Saint Landelin Spéciale Noël 750ml, 6.8% - France

How about a Christmas beer from France?

Murky orange color, vanilla head with some lacing.

Smells like a soaked kitchen cloth. Cheap and disgusting smell.

I could barely make it though half of the glass. The taste is no better than the smell. It simply taste like a cheap lager with fruits.

Perhaps the French should stick to making wine? :)

What a piece of crap! Avoid at all cost!!
