XS Old Crustacean Barley Wine 750ml, 11.5% - USA

Same bottle type as the young's..

Light brown color with no head.

Sweet caramel, brown sugar, smell of prunes.

Mixed taste characteristics: dried fruits, caramel with a bitter alcohol after taste. ABV is pretty high on this one.

Reminds me a lot of Judgment day which we drank yesterday.

We decided to try both Rogues back to back today. Two completely different beers with dividing results.

This beer comes in a clay bottle, with an air fixing cap which you can use only after you've opened the bottle.

When I opened the bottled there was a loud carbonation sound. Dark orange color, one finger head.

Apple and tea smell, some perfume, maybe even shampoo.

Very unusual taste. Strong English tea, caramel with bitter American hops after taste.

I didn't enjoy this beer at all, but it's always fun to try new stuff.
