Amager Mikkeller Kølle 330ml, 10.5% - Denmark

Pours deep brown with a high creamy head.

Oak, malts, dark fruits and something that I just can't describe. Quite an ok aroma.

Smoky hints up front! Roasted malts, dark fruits, caramel and some tar. I like this flavor.

Little Korkny Ale 2007 Bourbon Barrel 375ml, 12% - Denmark

Pours deep brown with a short tan head.

Vanilla, malts, oak and dark fruits in the aroma.

Sweet and at the same time salty flavor. Vanilla, caramel, berries, dark fruits and malts in the flavor. Hints of wood are present.

Bigfoot Barleywine Style Ale 2005 330ml, 9.6% - USA

Pour brownish color with no head. Very still.

Sweet barley aroma. Caramel, raisins, brown sugar and hints of bread.

Flavor reflects the aroma. Although I can still taste the hops.

I like the 2005 more. IMHO, barleywine shouldn't be so overhopped!

Bigfoot Barleywine Style Ale 2010 330ml, 9.6% - USA

Drinking 2010 and 2005 back to back!

Pours deep amber/red with a huge off white, rocky head. Lot's of lacing around the glass.

This smells a bit like an IPA. Kinda unexpected. Hops, caramel and malts.

Lot's of hops up front. Fresh and bitter hops! Grapefruit, spices, caramel and hints of raisins.

Amazingly good beer and it came as a surprise. Now to try the 2005 bottle.

Sunturnbrew 500ml, 11% - Norway

Pours brown with a little head.

Roasted malts, spices and caramel in the aroma.

Sweet flavor. Slightly roasted, dark fruits, roasted malts and barley.

Melchior Mackmyra Barrel Oak Aged 375ml, 11.5% - Belgium

Pours murky copper with a white off head.

Tart and sour aroma, a bit fruity.

Sweet and at the same time bitter flavor. Fruity, nutty and boozy.

Hog Heaven 650ml, 9.2% - USA

Brownish color, one finger golden head with a tad of lacing.

Refreshingly good fruity smell, grass, citrus and grape.

A rather interesting taste with different varieties of fruits, specially apples, some citrus, a bit of grapes, perfume, bitter hoppy after taste.

One of my favorite names and labels! :)

XS Old Crustacean Barley Wine 750ml, 11.5% - USA

Same bottle type as the young's..

Light brown color with no head.

Sweet caramel, brown sugar, smell of prunes.

Mixed taste characteristics: dried fruits, caramel with a bitter alcohol after taste. ABV is pretty high on this one.

Reminds me a lot of Judgment day which we drank yesterday.
