Poured hazy amber with a small white head.

La Rullés Estivale 750ml, 5.2% - Belgium

La Trappe Isid'or Trappist 750ml, 7.5% - Netherlands

The very first La Trappe I tried and not the last. I'm going to order all other sorts very soon and review them shortly here. That's a promise!

Cherry red color with a fluffy two finger head.

Citrus aroma, fruits and hints of Belgian spices.

Light taste of apples, very fruity flavor. Belgian spices, lot's of them! Please bitter aftertaste.

Quite an ok beer, medium bodied I'd say! Soft and gentle.

Trappist Westvleteren 6 330ml, 5.8% - Belgium

At last, we had the change to try all three Westvleterens and we drank them back to back. Starting off with the Blonde #6.

Poured light orange color with a white creamy head. Some lacing is showing on the glass.

Yeasty smell together with citrus and even some pineapple. Fresh smell indeed.

Sour taste of apples. Light touche of spices, grassy hops. Quite pale on the after taste. Medium carbonation.

This does have a small resemblance of Hoegaarden. I'm not comparing WV to it, it just reminded me of Hoegaarden.

Nothing special here really, moving on to the next beer.

Brugse Zot 750ml, 6% - Belgium

Poured cloudy orange with dark whipped cream foam.

Sour and fruity smell, some citrus, hints of perfume, topped with spices.

Bitter and at the same time sour taste. Fruity with a touch of apples.

I think this is lacking some after taste, perhaps cause of it's low abv.

This is most definitely a good summer beer!
