Rodenbach 2007 Vintage Oak Aged Ale(Barrel No. 230) 750ml, 7% - Belgium


Poured cherry red with a tiny tan head.

Sour aroma with a lot of vinegar, cherries and citric notes.

Cherries, vitamin C and vinegar flavor. Very vinous.

Amazingly good after aging.

Cuvée Freddy Bourgogne Barrel Oak Aged 750ml, 8% - Belgium


Poured dark brown with pretty much no head.

Sour notes, cherries, citrus and woody aroma.

Sweet, bitter and sour flavor. Woody and citric notes. Cherries and yeast.

Lovely beer!

Kerasus Bourgogne Barrel Oak Aged 750ml, 5.5% - Belgium


Only 250 bottles were made!

Poured murky red with no head.

Sour and sweet aroma. Cherries with a lot of citric notes.

The taste is not as sour as I thought it would be. Well balanced with sweetness. Cherries, yeast and vitamin C. Very little bitterness towards the end.

Not bad at all!

Ichtegem's Grand Cru 750ml, 6.5% - Belgium


Dark reddish color with no head.

Sour and sweet aroma. Yeasty and citric.

Sweet, fruity and sour taste. Some cherries and citrus.

Quite refreshing actually!

Duchesse De Bourgogne 750ml, 6.2% - Belgium


Dark red color with a darker head which settled pretty quick.

Fruity aroma with a huge tone of apple vinegar.

Sweet and sour taste. Lot's of apples and cherries. Quite acidic. Reminds me a bit of cider.

De Koninck Amber 330ml, 5% - Belgium


Red color with a very tiny head.

Cherry aroma together with hints of citrus. Very little going on here.

Light taste with not enough flavor. Some cherries are visible, malty in the background.

Kind of a let down for me to be honest.
