Uerige Doppelsticke 330ml, 8.5% - Germany


Pours red, sort of brown with a small vanilla head.

Roasted malts, caramel and figs aroma.

Caramelized malts up front, very sweet. Brown sugar, dark fruits flavor.

Alcohol is almost unnoticeable. Keeps you warm inside.

Uerige Sticke 330ml, 6% - Germany


New type of beer for me. Comes in an air fixing cap bottle.

Pours brown with a nice, rocky tan head.

Slightly roasted malts and caramel aroma. Sweet malty flavor. A bit spicy, with small hints of caramel. Bitter hops are present. Creamy and gentle. I like this. :)

Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout 355ml, 10% - USA


Poured black color with a small brown head.

Milk chocolate and dark fruits aroma.

Roasted malts, chocolate and licorice flavor. A little bit salty and smokey.

Not full bodied though. Totally worth the price.

A mixed variety from Systemet!


Picked up today the "fast nyheter" which were released on the 24th of March, plus a few beers that I missed out long, long time ago.

Mikkeller Festival Special Edition 2009 – Stella 0 1500ml, 10% - Denmark


Bottle # 587/1300.

Poured into an original Mikkeller Festival glass. Lovely red color with a tuff, thick, rocky, tan head. Lot's of sticky lacing.

Sweet malty aroma, hoppy. Brown sugar and dark fruits.

Huge amount of hops. Caramel, pines.. Amazing taste!

Funky E Star 750ml, 9.39% - Denmark


Very murky orange with a crispy head.

Hops, malts, fruits. The aroma has got it all.

Earthly hops, grass, citrus and pines flavor. Sweet and slightly bitter.

Another lovely beer from Mikkeller.

Drikkeriget GIPA (Hoppy Easter) 330ml, 6.6% - Denmark


Poured murky orange with a huge thick, white head. Very little lacing.

Very fresh and piny aroma. Hoppy and grassy.

Exotic fruits up front. Pretty hoppy, malty with citrus, pineapple and grapefruit flavor. Bitter aftertaste.

Creamy although not enough character.

Bashah 330ml, 8.6% - Scotland


Pours pitch black with a thick, tan head.

Citrus, grass and hoppy aroma. A bit malty.

Quite an interesting taste. Roasted malts up front. Followed by citrus, caramel and hops. Very little smokyness in the background.

Not bad at all!

Gouden Carolus Carolus D'Or - Cuvée Van De Keizer 750ml, 11% - Belgium


Poured dark red with a small, thick brown head.

Lot's of caramel up front. Fruity and malty. Dark fruits.

Caramelized malts, dark fruit (mostly prunes) and brown sugar in the flavor.

Highly enjoyable..!

Cuvée Van De Keizer Rood 750ml, 10.5% - Belgium


Light yellow color with some settlement, little head.

Very fruity aroma. Exotic fruits, mango, pineapples. Malty and spicy.

Sweet caramel, sugar, syrup, fruits, lot's of apples in the flavor.

I love Belgian beer! =)

Serpent's Stout 750ml, 11% - USA


Motor oil black topped with a small chocolate head.

Roasted malts up front, chocolate, toffee, vanilla and some licorice in the aroma.

What a nice and smooth flavor. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, burned sugar, toffee, some vanilla and a bit of bourbon.

Dry mouth feel, medium to full bodies. Well done Lost Abbey.

10 Commandments 750ml, 9% - USA


Deep dark red color topped with an air full mocha head.

Roasted malts, ark fruits aroma.

Lovely taste! Roasted malts, dark fruits, raisins and prunes, caramel, tiny hints of smokes. Smooth aftertaste, sightly dry and boozy. Medium to full bodied.

Lost & Found Abbey Ale 750ml, 8% - USA


Poured reddish brown with a thick dirty head.

Raisins, malts and brown sugar aroma.

Sweet caramel, sweet malts, raisins and yeast in the flavor. Slightly spicy and a bit sour. I ever get some apples here.

Avant Garde 750ml, 7% - USA


Poured a nice orange color, topped with a huge white, whipped cream head. It settles down slowly, leaving a lot of sticky lacing behind.

Slightly fruity and malty aroma. Small hints of citrus. Weak aroma.

Sweet caramel malts. Slightly boozy. Some apples, a bit spicy towards the end.

Poured cloudy yellow with a small white head.

Citrus, grass and wheat aroma.

Slightly malty taste. Some citrus, a bit sweet.

Dark reddish color with no head.

Sour and sweet aroma. Yeasty and citric.

Sweet, fruity and sour taste. Some cherries and citrus.

Quite refreshing actually!

Eiken Hel & Verdoemenis 750ml, 11% - Netherlands


Bottle 37/362, brewed on the 18th of September 2009.

Black color almost no head. Had to force it out. A lot of settlement here too.

Chocolate, roasted malts, caramel and boozy aroma.

Very boozy up front. Chocolate flavor with some roasted malts, coffee and brown sugar.

A bit watery, I want to this be more creamy.

Hel & Verdoemenis 750ml, 10.2% - Netherlands


Bottle 474/526, brewed on the 2nd of May 2009.

Took some time to get that cork out. Why do they use this wax anyway?

Poured deep, dark brown. Almost black. No head at all or any bubbles. Very still. Lot's of settlement though.

Vanilla, chocolate and malty aroma.

Cocoa beans, roasted malts, chocolate and vanilla flavor. Small tones of licorice, a bit boozy.

Medium to full bodied. Quite ok to sip on.

Mohawk Rye IPA 500ml, 7.5% - Sweden


Pours clear amber with a small thick head.

Grassy aroma together with some grapefruit and biscuit.

Malty flavor. Some bread, biscuit and hops. A bit of citrus and grapefruit in the background. Nice bitter aftertaste.

Warrior Single Hop IPA 330ml, 6.9% - Denmark


Very murky dark orange color, with a small creamy head.

Citrus, fruits, malts and hoppy aroma.

Bitter hops flavor. Caramel, grapefruit, malts and small hints of citrus.

Quite a good beer.

Simcoe Single Hop IPA 330ml, 6.9% - Denmark


Copper color with a foamy white head.

Malts, citrus, caramel, biscuit, hops and grapefruit aroma.

Lot's of pines and spices here. Some grapefruit, citrus and hops of course. Malts are present.

Strong and aggressive IPA. I like! =)

Nugget Single Hop IPA 330ml, 6.9% - Denmark


Murky copper appearance with a small head.

Fruity, perfumy, malty and hoppy aroma.

Now this is something different. Sweet, candy caramel flavor. Very little citrus and less grapefruit. Almost none. Not as dominating on the hops.

Nelson Sauvin Single Hop IPA 330ml, 6.9% - Denmark


Caramel color with a small thick head.

Hops, passion fruit and malty aroma.

Very fruity and tropical taste. Citrus, passion fruit and hops.

Highly enjoyable!

Double Bastard Ale 650ml, 10.5% - USA


Reddish color with a tan creamy, thick head.

Sweet and hoppy aroma. Lot's of malts and caramel.

Smooth taste! Malty and quite fruity. I get some cherries and dried fruits. A bit hoppy with some flavor of fresh bread. Caramel is present and so is the mild booziness.

Slightly dry mouth feel, very creamy. Lovely beer..!

It's Alright! 330ml, 4.5% -Denmark


This beer has this typical witbier appearance.

Yeast, water, citrus aroma.

Yeasty and bready taste which fades away very quickly. Slightly citric.

Boring beer..!

Drink'in The Sun 330ml, 3.9% - Denmark


Pours cloudy orange with a thick, rocky white head.

Fruity aroma with grapefruit, citrus, lemon and grass. Spicy and slightly hoppy.

Very hoppy taste with clear signs of wheat and malts. A bit piny with some citrus.

Very refreshing at this low ABV.

Kriek De Ranke 750ml, 7% - Belgium


Blurry red color with pretty much no head.

Sour and citric aroma. Slightly acidic.

Wild cherries give the taste a good bitterness. Sour, lot's of citrus.

Quite an ok beer, although I'm not a fan of Kriek.

Cuvée De Ranke 750ml, 7% - Belgium


Blurry orange color, small white head. Looks inviting.

Sweet and sour aroma. Tons of apples.

The taste is sweet and sour together with vitamin C and lemon grass.

Lot's of lemon and citrus. Remind me a lot of champagne.

Tons of Swedish beer!


Picked up the March nyheter and one of each Easter brews. Rulles, Centennial and Boris I've already tried.. but I just had to get another bottle of Breakfast Stout since it's really good.

Ocean EKO Pale Ale 500ml, 4.5% - Sweden


Poured red color with no head.

Malty and bready aroma.

Malty flavor, little sweetness..

I don't even know why I bothered buying this..!

USAlive! 750ml, 8% - Denmark


Poured red color topped with a fluffy head, which builds rocks while settling. Some lacing is noticeable.

Pines, cloves, malts and some citrus in the aroma.

A rather inviting taste. Fruity, some grapefruit, small hints of cherries, citrus, pines, malts, hops and cloves.

Mild, gentle and enduring taste.

Green Gold 660ml, 7% - Denmark


Pours red color together with a slightly dark, creamy head. Some lacing is sticking slowing around the glass.

Grapefruit, pines and overall fruity aroma.

This actually has more character than I expected. Of course it has the usual pines and grapefruit taste, but here the malts and caramel are more pronounced.

Very pleasant hoppy bitterness. Creamy mouth feel.

Rigor Mortis ABT 341ml, 10.5% - Canada


Pours red color with no head.

Malty aroma together with red fruits. Slightly yeasty.

Caramel, malts and light boozy flavor. Some fruits and brown sugar.

A little bit boring for a quad.

Péché Mortel (Imperial Stout Au Cafe) 341ml, 9.5% - Canada


Poured black color with no head.

Coffee, tobacco and soil aroma.

Roasted malts flavor, together with tobacco, dirt (soil), dark chocolate and toffee.

Nice beer, keeps you warm inside.

Rochefort 8 Cuvee Special 2009 750ml, 9.2% - Belgium


The cork popped and the beer poured a dark red color with a small head which didn't take long to settle.

What a weird smell. It starts off fruity and yeasty, but then suddenly changes to an unpleasant sort of rotten smell.

Malty and fruity taste. Some caramel, some hops and a pinch of spices.

This taste completely different from the "regular" Rochefort 8.

According to Beer Advocate this is a Dubbel and the "regular" Rochefort 8 is a Belgian Strong Dark Ale.

P.S. I didn't have the official glass at the time.

Trappistes Rochefort 10 330ml, 11.30% - Belgium


Brown appearance with a small head.

Fruitcake aroma. Sweet, malty and yeasty.

Tons of dried fruits up front. Raisins, prunes and caramel followed right after. A bit spicy and boozy flavor. I don't know why, but I've experienced booziness in all three Rocheforts.

Trappistes Rochefort 8 330ml, 9.2% - Belgium


Pours dark read with a nice, even fluffy head.

Fruity and malty aroma. Brown sugar and prunes.

Malty and hoppy flavor. It has this light sweetness, a mixture of brown sugar and caramel.

Slightly boozy aftertaste here as well.

Trappistes Rochefort 6 330ml, 7.5% - Belgium


Poured brown color together with a crispy, fizzy tan head. Beer pours with a nice melody.

Malty and yeasty aroma. Hints of caramel.

Very malty flavor. Followed by sugar, caramel and yeast. Slightly spicy with a boozy aftertaste. Pleasant boozy aftertaste. :)

Alvinne Extra Restyled 330ml, 7% - Belgium


Poured blurry light orange. Lot's of carbonation, so I spilled a little. Some settlement is on the bottom of the glass. Rocky head settles slowly, leaving sticky lacing around the glass.

Belgian yeast and spices. Very fruity aroma.

Tons of hops up front. Bready and yeasty flavor. A bit boozy, spicy and fruity. Lovely bitter aftertaste.

Schloßbräu Rheder Bock 330ml, 6.8% - Germany


Golden color with almost no head.

Lot's of honey, malts and flowers in the aroma.

Malty lager flavor. Some sweetness with honey. Alcohol is not even noticeable.

Black Hole 375ml, 13.10% - Denmark


Very deep dark brown, almost black. No head.

Soil, tobacco, sugar aroma. With some raisins.

Sweet chocolate taste, a bit fruity at the end. Some toffee and vanilla notes. Slightly roasted malts are present. A bit of dark chocolate and vanilla.

Small boozyness at the end.

Ceres Havskum (Bering Bryg) 330ml, 5.5% - Denmark


Poured dark red with a slightly tan head.

Complex smell. Sweet and sour. Spicy, malty.

The taste in unpleasantly sweet. Sugar root, fruits, even some vegetables, herbs, spices. Even the after taste is sweet, no bitterness what so ever.

Awful beer..! The taste reminds me a lot of ginger ale.

Brooklyn Black OPS 750ml, 11.6% - USA


Pitch black color with a huge, thick, crispy, chocolate head. Looks yummy!

Bourbon, chocolate and vanilla aroma.

Bourbon flavor and lot's of it! Malty roastyness after wards. Chocolate and vanilla.

Too much strong alcohol taste, makes it less enjoyable. Not a big fan of bourbon here.

Haystack Wheat 355ml, 5% - USA


Pours murky orange with almost no head. Lot's of bubbles.

Bananas, cloves, citrus aroma together with some yeast and wheat.

The taste has pretty much the same characteristics as the nose. Bitter hops are present. A bit dry and less carbonation would help.

Ruddles County 500ml, 4.7% - England


Deep amber color with a darker head. Some lacing is noticeable.

Bread and grainy malt aroma. Some hops.

A good bitter taste. Caramel malts, hops are present. A bit bready.

Works fine if you are really thirsty.

La Rullés Triple 750ml, 8.4% - Belgium


Lovely orange color with a small white head.

Yeasty smell with hops, oranges and citrus.

The taste has the same characteristics as the nose. Very fruity with a long lasting aftertaste.

La Rullés Cuvée Meilleurs Voeux 750ml, 7.3% - Belgium


Poured brown with almost no head.

Sweet, fruity, malty and yeasty aroma.

Fresh hoppy flavor. Sweet and malty. Some caramel with small hints of dark fruits.

This need more character, perhaps a slightly higher ABV?

La Rullés Blonde 750ml, 7% - Belgium


Murky orange with a small head.

Fruity and yeasty aroma. Cloves and bananas. Malty.

Fruity flavor, some bananas. Hoppy and spicy. Lovely bitterness.

La Rullés Brune 750ml, 6.5% - Belgium


Pours deep, dark red with a small tan head.

Malty aroma, with brown sugar and prunes.

Light malty flavor, a bit sweet. Some dark fruits, mostly prunes. Hints of caramel.

Not the best brune I've tried.

La Rullés Estivale 750ml, 5.2% - Belgium


I've always been eager to try La Rullés beers, specially cause of their original artwork. That trick usually works on me.

Pours clear golden color with a nice white, whipped cream head. Little lacing.

Fruity aroma. Some yeast and malts.

Malty flavor with some mango and other exotic fruits that come to mind. Hoppy with a light bitter aftertaste.
